G. P. JOHNSON COMPANY RENEWS LEASE FOR TORRANCE BUILDING IT HAS OCCUPIED FOR OVER 20 YEARS; KEY LOCATION CITED

TORRANCE, CA – In a transaction said to validate the significance of well-located buildings in the tight South Bay (LA) industrial real estate market, G. P. Johnson Company (GPJ), reportedly the world’s top event and experiential marketing agency, has signed a lease renewal for 98,813 square feet of space in Torrance, CA it has occupied for over 20 years, announces The Klabin Company/CORFAC international. GPJ has occupied a portion of a 306,000 square foot concrete tilt-up industrial building located at 4242 W. 190th St. since 1995, and utilizes the property for the storage of trade show displays for some of the major consumer product companies in the U.S.

David Prior, SIOR, senior managing principal of The Klabin Company, along with colleagues Frank Schulz, SIOR, managing principal, and Todd Taugner, SIOR, executive vice president/principal, represented Z/A Torrance Associates, the property owner, in the five-year lease valued at $3.5 million. Jon Gorczyca of Cushman & Wakefield represented GPJ.

“This building is so well located that it has attracted continuing occupancy by an industry leading company such as GPJ. It shows how important location is, in this case a strategic site immediately south of the 405 Freeway,” Prior said.
