THE KLABIN COMPANY FINALIZES TWO LEASE TRANSACTIONS AT WATSON INDUSTRIAL CENTER BRINGING PROJECT IN CARSON TO 100% OCCUPANCY

Two global leaders sign multi-year leases for a combined 76,919 square feet of industrial space.

(May 17, 2024 – TORRANCE, CALIF.)The Klabin Company/CORFAC International today announced it finalized two multi-year lease transactions in Carson, Calif. on behalf of Summa Properties/Watsoncenter LLC. Located in the Watson Industrial Center, these two lease transactions bring the 163,988-square-foot project to 100% occupancy.

In the first transaction, the tenant is Nova Container Freight Station, a leading provider of ocean and air container freight services who will expand its Los Angeles operations to the 51,288 square feet it secured at Watson Center. The Klabin Company’s David Prior, SIOR, represented Summa Properties in the 42-month lease transaction valued at more than $3.1 million. Nova was represented by Danny Williams of Newmark.

 Located at 1111 Watson Center Road, Suite D/E, the building was fully refurbished and offers Nova an excellent South Bay shipping and warehouse location with access to the Los Angeles and Long Beach Ports and several interstate freeways. Set in a Heavy Weight Corridor, it features a large, concrete truck yard, 14 dock-high positions, two fork-lift ramps 8,732 square feet of office space.

 In the second transaction, Prior represented Summa Properties in securing Best Services International Freight in a 61-month lease of 25,631 square feet located at 1111 Watson Center Road, Suite B and valued at $2.43 million. Best Services, a global specialist in end-to-end logistics solutions, was represented by Yasushi Shiromi and Mike Ouellette of The Klabin Company and is relocating from Torrance to 1111 Watson Center Road, Suite B. The building was delivered with substantial market-ready refurbishments and comes with a large, concrete truck yard, seven dock-high positions, a fork-lift ramp and 4,690 square feet of office space.
